RAKU

Raku firings are done in a specially constructed oven to produce intense heat. Raku clay is gritty because it has been fired before to withstand the intense heat of oven. Most kilns take days of firing on pieces after glazing, while raku is done in an hour or less and utilizes special glazing creating intense and unique colors!
